Climate Change and Lococentrism

Lococentrism and the Placed-Based perspective, I have found, has become a principle looked up to in the current negotiations for environmental reform within organizations like the UN. I found a pretty interesting article that highlights the impact global climate change has had already on indigenous societies around the world. Organizational leaders today are further considering the influence traditional knowledge will have in bringing people "back to the basics" of environmental perspectives. It is a significant role that indigenous people hold today in the development of these concepts.
